Bert
Hartmann
If ever an introvert showed magnetic charisma, it is Bert! Join
us, and see him in action. He does an awesome job organizing
people and data for Habitiat for Humanity worktrips on weekends
and in the spring. A computer science major who is thoroughly
Lutheran, his presence among us is solid as a rock. A quiet
and perceptive guy with an amazing T-shirt collection.
Vera
Lentini
is a senior majoring in English and minoring in Italian. An
American Baptist, Vera brightens the room with her smile and
invigorates anyone's faith with her thoughtful, keen insights.
She's in charge of our website and many of our graphics because
of her gift to put words and images together. Her Christian
witness inspires and focuses us.
Hector
Marisol
is a junior majoring in political science with his eyes on God
and on the path to becoming a lawyer. He is often found in the
kitchen at Trinity House whipping up an amazing pan of lasagna
or a tasty chicken Marsala. Thanks be to God, he is not afraid
to do the dishes. He comes to us after having served in the
Army for four years with real life experience that inspires
great questions and clear faith that is at once steadfast and
curious and directed.
Jodi
Krutzel
is a recent Cook graduate who, through her honesty, keeps us
real and asking the really big questions that keeps us thinking.
She lays it out on the line, and we can't help but be there
with her, learning, struggling growing, and most importantly,
loving.
Javier
is majoring in computer science and joined us on our last Habitat
for Humanity worktrip in Wilmington, Delaware because a friend
told him about it. He has stuck around ever since, not only
because dinner is both free and delicious, but because we keep
having meaningful conversations that he hasn't found anywhere
else on campus.
Melissa
Moore
recently graduated with an MSW from Rutgers, and the year before
graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary with her M. Div.
She is now enrolled at University College so she can learn Spanish
to use in her love of urban ministry. She is also an accomplished
cellist, having studied at the Peabody of Johns Hopkins University.
Tony
Pawlik
is our resident Catholic who keeps our conversations going across
a wide range of topics from the book of Revelations to cultural
identity to meditation to healthy food choices. He is pursuing
a Ph.D. and understands the fullness of graduate student life.
Go ahead, ask him about the glut of Ph.D.s in academia. No else
I know has such a realistic and penetrating view on the topic.
It could be life-changing.
Sarah
Ramteke
is a junior and she may usually be quiet but no one says more
in one sentence than Sarah. When Sarah is found at table during
lunch or on the couch during discussion, the dialogue promises
to be frank and dimension added.
The
Rev. John David Larson
Is the pastor for Lutheran Campus Ministries at Rutgers. When
he isn’t helping us study the Bible, he is warmly greeting
any students to comes to Trinity House, a campus ministry hospitality
center and staffs the marathon noon- to-midnight study break
during finals.
The
Rev. Dr. Paul LaMontagne
joins us this year as he discerns his calling to campus ministry.
Generally brilliant and self-described as "a little weird"
you want to sit with man explore just about any intellectual
topic. He knows so much! He will join Barbara at the Listening
Post on Wednesdays and, at other times, find himself on the
Busch campus. He is particularly fond of topics related to science
and theology.
